IInspired by a true story and told with plenty of artistic license, Fisherman’s Friends tells the unlikely tale of how a group of fishermen rose to fame and to the Top Ten of the charts. It’s a feel-good charmer set in rural Port Isaac, with a witty Cornish sense of humour and a selection of sea shanties along the way. Staring the versatile Daniel Mays as a slick London music executive, with James Purefoy as the unofficial lead singer and Tuppence Middleton. All the characters’ stories are fictional with some real-life cameo performances.
