Australian film maker Jennifer Peedom went to Nepal to make a film about the Sherpas spiritual and cultural relationship with Mount Everest, and their dependence on the climbing industry. The film shows the incredible risks the Sherpas take to make the ascent of Everest possible for foreign climbers. The terrible 2014 avalanche disaster struck whilst she was making her documentary, and she was there to document the terrible grief and consequences that followed. A insightful, sensitive, thought provoking and poignant film, with some spectacular photography and scenery.
